Fear Intelligence

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

This policy explains what information Fear Intelligence collects when you use this website, why it is collected, who else can see it, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

Who this is

Fear Intelligence is operated by Jacqueline Wales. You can reach us at [email protected] or on +1 646 241 7115.

What we collect, and when

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount your browser provides automatically.

When you take an assessment

  • Your name and email address, so the results can reach you.
  • Your company, job title and company size, which shape how the results are interpreted.
  • Your answers to the assessment questions, and the scores and cost estimates calculated from them.
  • How you heard about the assessment, if you tell us.

When you download a tool or subscribe

  • Your name and email address.
  • Which tool you asked for and which page you were on, so we can tell which resources people actually find useful.

When you contact us or book a call

  • Your name, email address and anything you write to us.
  • Your phone number, if you provide one when booking.

Automatically, as you browse

  • Standard technical information such as your browser type, approximate location by country or region, which pages you visited and how you arrived.
  • This is collected through Google Analytics and is used to understand which pages are useful. It is not used to identify you personally.

Why we collect it

  • To deliver what you asked for. Your assessment results, a tool you requested, a reply to your message, a confirmed booking.
  • To send you emails you have opted into, including the daily insight emails and occasional information about programmes and events.
  • To understand what people find useful, so the material improves.
  • To run the business, including preparing for a call you have booked.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build profiles for anyone other than you.

Your assessment answers

Your individual assessment answers are treated as confidential. They are used to produce your own results and, where you have asked for it, to inform coaching or a programme you are part of.

Where an assessment is completed as part of a workshop, leadership team or peer group, any summary shared with the organiser or group is aggregated and anonymised. An organiser sees patterns across the group. They do not see who said what.

Who else can see your information

We use a small number of established services to run the website and communications. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

  • Our customer relationship and email platform, which stores your contact record and sends the emails you have subscribed to.
  • Google Analytics, for anonymous website usage statistics.
  • Our scheduling system, when you book a call.
  • The chat assistant on this site, if you choose to use it. Anything you type into it is processed by that service in order to reply to you.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technology for two purposes: to make the site work, and to gather anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the site working.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact record and assessment results for as long as you remain on our list, so that your results are still available to you and so that any future assessment can be compared against your earlier one. If you unsubscribe or ask to be removed, we act on that as described below.

Your choices

Everyone

  • Unsubscribe at any time. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
  • Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it, and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

If you are in California

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request its deletion, to request a copy of it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address below.

If you are in the UK, EU or Canada

You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how it is used, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, withdrawing it will not affect anything done before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address below.

Security

Your information is held in established platforms that use encryption in transit and access controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. We limit what is collected in the first place, which is the most reliable protection there is.

Children

This site and its material are intended for professional adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, including Amazon, LinkedIn, YouTube and the platforms hosting our assessments and bookings. Once you follow a link, this policy no longer applies and the other site's own policy takes over.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the date at the top will change and, where the change is significant, we will say so in an email.

If you want your information removed, say so in one line. You do not need to explain why.

A note on the daily emails. If you subscribed to receive them, you can stop them at any time using the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email. That link removes you immediately and permanently. You do not need to reply or ask.
